Richard Kidner4 weeks agoLH Cook has been looking after Mulberry House, a wedding and events venue in Ongar, Essex, for over 10 years. During this time, they have installed, maintained, and serviced multiple boilers and central heating systems across our site.
In January 2026, LH Cook completed a full overhaul of our main house plant room. The project included the installation of two large commercial boilers, new hot water cylinders, a new flue system, and a complete flush of our central heating network. Due to the nature of our business, we had a very limited 10-day closure period in which to complete the works.
Jamie, working alongside Clayton, oversaw the project from start to finish. As is often the case when working within a Grade II listed Georgian property, several unexpected challenges arose throughout the installation. Jamie took complete ownership of these issues, consistently finding thoughtful and practical solutions. Rather than opting for the quickest or easiest approach, he ensured that every solution was sympathetic to the character and fabric of the building, even when this meant additional time and effort for his team.
The quality of workmanship and attention to detail throughout the project was exceptional. Equally impressive has been LH Cook's aftercare and ongoing support, which has always been prompt, professional, and reliable.
Lewis, who oversees the business, is highly committed to customer service and ensures projects are delivered on time and within budget. His proactive communication and hands-on management give clients complete confidence throughout the process.
I would have no hesitation in recommending LH Cook and would not consider using anyone else for our plumbing and heating requirements.

David Ashworth2 years agoRe service 13 Aug 24. Booking was very straight forward and they managed to fit me in at short notice. Mike the Service Engineer arrived as scheduled and undertook the work in a very professional manner. The works were undertaken without fuss and the property left in a clean and tidy state. Highly recommend this company

I was recommended by a friend and they came out within 12 hours, rectified the issue, did a service, tested my smoke alarms and installed a carbon monoxide sensor. Very friendly and professional both office staff and Fred who did the work. Very happy and have already recommended them.
samuel hicks4 years agoLH Cook came to repair our heating. Amazing service by them all. In particular Sharon who co ordinated the engineers. Through their persistence and experience they finally got it working. I would strongly recommend them. 10/10.
Paul Quatremain4 years agoAn engineer called Billy attended our house when we had a leak from a pipe coming from our oil tank. Sadly the tank had to be condemned and it turned out our immersion heater had gone too so we had no hot water or heating!. The company were very responsive and had Billy return a few hours later to change the element in the hot tank. They also arranged to attend the next day to change the oil tank. All in all, a great service, well executed. Billy, was nice to meet you.
Rich Strange7 years agoRecently had an external boiler fitted. From quote to completion, the staff were very, professional, tidy, friendly very helpful. The guys that carried out the installation were also very considerate and accommodating and the work carried out to a high standard. We will definitely recommend this company.
